ATCC is Making History: Women's Flag Football is Coming Soon

Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) is making history. In the spring of 2027, ATCC will officially launch Women's Flag Football making us one of the first community colleges in the state of Minnesota to add this dynamic, fast-growing sport to our athletic roster.

Our Coach Is Already On the Ground

On February 28, 2026, Legends Head Coach Marnie Kortuem attended the 2026 Minnesota Vikings High School Flag Football Showcase at the TCO Performance Center in Eagan, Minnesota. This elite event drew nearly 100 of Minnesota's top high school athletes, who competed through drill stations, 1-on-1 matchups, and 5-on-5 scrimmages in front of coaches from across the state eager to identify the next generation of flag football talent.

The Minnesota Vikings Are Helping Grow This Sport and ATCC Is Ready

The Minnesota Vikings have partnered with high schools and colleges across the state to enhance recruitment pipelines and grow women's flag football as a competitive collegiate sport. This partnership is fueling a movement and ATCC is positioning itself at the front of it.

Flag football is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, and the momentum at the high school and collegiate level is undeniable. By adding this program in 2027, ATCC isn't just following a trend, we're leading the charge in Minnesota's community college landscape.
