Legends Sweep MSUM in Spirited Esports Showdown
The Alexandria College Legends delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Minnesota State University Moorhead in a highly anticipated esports matchup on November 5.
Played remotely from the Alexandria esports room, the match was more than just a conference contest—it was a reunion of sorts, with a former Legend now competing for MSUM.
"This was one of the most anticipated matchups of our season," said Head Coach Steven Van Voorhis. "MSUM is just up the road, and with one of our former Legends now playing for them, it added a fun, personal dynamic to the game. Both teams were chatting and engaging throughout the match, which created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere."
The Legends dominated from start to finish, not dropping a single point or map. A standout moment came from Colin Rosha (gamer tag: Froginapond), who, playing as Moira, executed a full team elimination in a single engagement—a highlight-worthy feat that energized the team and spectators alike.
With this win, the Legends improve to a 3-4 record, tying them for fourth place in the conference. The team continues to show strong synergy and control as they push toward the postseason.
