The Legends women's golf program sent two of its own to Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny, Iowa, for the North Plains District Tournament — a two-day event where the stakes were clear: the top two teams and the top two individuals not on those teams would earn a berth to the NJCAA Division II National Championship.
Ayla Larson and Alexis Usher represented their team, school, and community throughout the tournament. Both golfers posted improved scores on day two, a testament to their resilience and competitive spirit over the course of the demanding event.
Larson carded rounds of 95 and 90 for a two-day total of 185, while Usher finished with a 97 and a 93, totaling 190 for the tournament. Both athletes saw meaningful improvement from day one to day two, showing the determination and focus that has defined their seasons. Ultimately, the pair finished just shy of the cut line needed to advance to the national stage.
